synalis’ employees used to spend a lot of unnecessary time on administrative tasks because the company’s project management solution did not integrate well with the adjacent business applications. The IT service provider hence decided to switch to a resource management tool closely integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365. synalis decided to use proRM Fast Start by proMX. Ever since its implementation, transfer and alignment processes have been a thing of the past. Streamlined processes have cleared up employees’ schedules and, thanks to transparent project data, management now has a 360° view of project at all times. For IT service providers like synalis it is vital to execute projects in a ‘customer oriented’ fashion. This includes constant monitoring of all projects with a view on costs and budget. Project accounting tasks to be performed by employees should be kept to a minimum. “Efficient, largely automated processes and high user friendliness are the only way to make this happen,” says Head of Marketing & Sales, Norbert Schmidt. Today, synalis benefits from lean processes and a uniform data management. “Complex alignment processes are no more. We can now act more quickly and more flexibly in all areas of project management. Core processes such as accounting are securer than before,” Schmidt reports. Another advantage for management is the vastly extended project management. Today only a few clicks are required e.g. to check the workload of individual employees, to check the status of ongoing projects or to compare costs to budget. “In addition, we were able to free-up our project team from tiring routine tasks – while still increasing the quality of data,” adds Schmidt.
